Poori
Greetings to you all from Sri Lanka
Memory Lane for the Year 2024:
There have been times of joy in ministering to the children in Boys Industrial Home as well as with the Seniors Home connected with our church, and in ministering to ‘Street Walkers’.
There have been challenges.
After many years of ministering with LEADS, and training someone to help with the art for the children, for many reasons including the difficulty to travel so far, I have decided to conclude my time with them.
The periods of challenges I faced were in health largely due to a hernia (which eventually was removed via laparoscopic surgery in April 2025). There were other challenges of provision needed for sudden expenses for home repairs and maintenance where we have seen the Lord provide.
Through the scenes of life, in trouble and in joy we were able to walk in victory with Jesus.
We are aware of and thankful for the Goodness and Faithfulness of God.
We are very thankful to those who have supported and prayed for us and the ministry in Sri Lanka.

About the pictures:
Boys Industrial Home(BIH): Is a home for about 24 boys who are orphans. She has been working with them on Saturdays. She now goes once a month to work with junior boys as well as with senior boys.
Rani Violet Seniors Home: Is an Elders Home connected with her home church. Her goal is to go there about once a month to have art and craft activities for them as part of recreation and therapy.
Street Walkers (closer to her home in Piliyandala): When there are sufficient funds, in memory of her mother, Saro her helper and Saro’s daughter help to cook and prepare lunch packets. Poori combines the lunch packets with bottled water, serviette etc and goes with either Saro or Hiruni to distribute, listen to them and to pray with them.
