Project Support
The Executive Director, Bob Black, personally raises funds to cover half of his salary as well as all expenses related to his overseas travel. This approach helps keep administrative costs as low as possible and ensures that the majority of donations directly support overseas projects and programs.
In 2025, Bob traveled to Ethiopia to provide training for all of our local partners on newly developed accounting and project planning modules. Strengthening the capacity of our local partners is essential to ensuring accountability, effective program management, and long-term sustainability.
At the same time, increasing global conflicts and instability have created significant challenges across many African countries, resulting in growing humanitarian needs. These difficult conditions create major obstacles for organizations working to deliver assistance. In addition, ongoing global economic uncertainty has caused many donors to reduce or suspend their charitable giving.
Despite these challenges, our model of working directly with trusted local partners on the ground allows us to continue providing and even expanding support to vulnerable communities. The dedication, sacrifice, and vision demonstrated by our local partners continue to inspire us to do everything possible to stand alongside them and strengthen the important work they are carrying out.
