Watoto Wetu Scholarship

Activities

In 2025, Watoto wetu celebrated a profound milestone of two of our students, Carl Shema who graduated from high school and scored very good grades(B+) that will enable him to join university under the government selection and Shyaka Willy, who graduated from junior high school to join senior high school with good grades as well. Carl Shema and Willy Shyaka are brothers whose parents came to Kenya as refugees. They have been supported by the project since 2015 when they were in lower primary school to date. We have watched them grow from small boys with potential into compassionate and ambitious teenagers. Their progress would not have been possible without your support.

Other than the two students, we had some other 22 students supported under Watoto wetu totaling to 24 students. This number is broken down as; 2 students in High school, 8 students in college and university,4 students waiting to join college in September 2026,5 students currently finalizing their class work in the last year of university and 5 to graduate with diploma and degree in 2026.All the students were able to receive upkeep, accommodation while at school, mentorship, school fee, one student supported to get medication and one household supported with monthly house rent. Always grateful for the support as every one of the students is a story of hope and future.
